Diesel Exhaust Fluid Spills

DEF Quick FAQ's

Q:  What should be done if DEF is spilled?

A:  Spilled DEF should be cleaned up as soon as possible.  Small spills may be absorbed with a non-reactive absorbent and placed in suitable, covered, labeled containers.  Prevent large spills from entering into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas.  DEF can be harmful to concrete and masonry.  Never return spills in original containers for re-use.
